If you stay on the main FSR you'll be fine. There are some big deep water holes, the road is underwater at points around the lake so you need 4 wheel to get around.

It's an easy trail to run in the summer time evan with a stock two wheel drive vehicle, and if you decide to go farther you stay on the main road and come out at upper hat creek rd.
