found out about this trail by a local recommendation.
got there and snow flurries had started but was easy with ice cleats on my snow boots. the trail is pretty packed down from snowshoers. stay on the trail and your fine. I did not use poles. cool views.

Very simple easy trail, barely a hike. Great views of the canyon and surrounding area through the whole way. Very busy when we went and unfortunately were seeing LOTS of people jumping the fenses and getting way too close to ledges for pictures.

Have done this short hike several times in summer and it was just as beautiful in winter. Snow was well packed so didn’t use snowshoes.

Very beautiful little walk year round!

Very short but worth the visit! Super easy walk, no spikes needed but it’s muddy so hiking boots best. Very pretty self guided hike with a nice waterfall at the end. Almost too short!

A super easy fast hike with a great view of some falls at the end. The canyon is fascinating, I really enjoyed this hike, I did it at dusk and got some gorgeous pictures.

I recommend everyone check this out. Easy to fit in after a long hike or while passing through!

Beautiful! Easy hike.

The hight of this canyon is impressive, the walk in the Johnston Canyon is prettier but this Canyon itself is more beautiful. The water's colour is unreal. The end is beautiful, come around noon to have the best light. It's not too crowed compare to the JC.
The walk is super easy, it's not even a hike. Perfect for smoky days like today.

After years of driving past Marble Canyon on my way to and from the Kootenays, I finally stopped to check it out. The canyon is definitely impressive. Some have compared it to Johnston Canyon, but it's a different experience. You hike THROUGH Johnston Canyon, but you walk ABOVE Marble Canyon, looking down from viewpoints at the top of the rock walls high above the river.
I highly recommend taking the trail between Marble Canyon and the Paint Pots. It's an easy but spectacular 6.8 km out and back path through new growth forest which follows the Kootenay River. There was nobody else on the trail and with the wildflowers out in full force was truly an amazing walk. Pretty much flat the whole way, took less than 2 hours return.

Very easy hike off the side of the highway. It is worth the stop just to see the canyons and falls.

Incredible rush of blue water through narrow, deep cracks in the rocks. Got a brief window to visit on an otherwise cloudy rainy day and this was a highlight when other scenic sights were obscured by clouds. Well worth a stop.

This is a fantastic break spot to get in a quick hike. Easy with really spectacular views. Better than Johnston Canyon in my view. Not crowded and we were there on the Friday of the July long weekend.

Easy and short hike along the sides of the canyon with great traversing bridges. The turquoise water is stunning and the depth of the canyon awe inspiring. Highly recommend.

Neat little hike, did it with snowshoes but the trail was packed enough that you could probably easily manage without.

It was great in the winter. Only advice would be to watch little ones near the rails because there is a lot of snow build up. We went in March last year, hiked the trail and had lunch in the snow. Two people ice climbing and other than that it was complete solitude. There is an amazing aspect of the Rockies in off season!

I almost like this more than Johnston Canyon as it isn't over crowded. Lots of cool bridges over the canyon.

Quick and easy 1mile loop with amazing views of the canyons and waterfalls. Great for those with an hour to spare, or for younger kids that can't do long hikes.
