Great hike for all ages. When it comes to the incline there is alot of variety. Make sure you wear hiking boots. Runners will get soaked as some of the trail includes walking in the creek.
Directions are wrong, this is the maple mountain by Crofton not Lake cowichan. Directions end on a logging road with no trail head in site. I have hiked maple mountain and this not it.
Awesome network of trails between Maple Bay, Osborne Bay Road and Crofton- Map Icon not accurate
Very well maintained and clearly marked trails. Moderate difficulty on pink trail to summit with some steep sections. The descent was slow due to very rocky trail conditions. Most of the trail is covered with few but nonetheless stunning views of the gulf islands. It's a great all around day hike.
