The waterfall is amazing! Altough there are some things to consider. The last 7 km to the trailhead is a gravelroad, at the trailhead is a closed gate but you can see that there already have been many people. There haven't been any mine workers although there is a sign of active mining. The trail itself is great, right now in spring you can't really cross the river however there is a little trail through the forest too, that is really nice.

I like going down to the falls and jumping in. little sketchy since someone drowned in there few years ago.

We didn't go down the trail. Not having checked the photos beforehand, I didn't know about the "active Mining" etc signs. I thought surely a hiking trail wouldn't have a sign to not enter it. It appears I was wrong. However, I still don't know about the legality of walking through a locked gate. So while I'm sad to have missed the waterfall, I'm glad to have stayed out of trouble.

Loved this spot, however!!!!! Be careful driving down this road, there is scrap metal and we blew a tire coming down #strandedinCranbrook

We found this trail creepy. Lots of industrial (mining) litter and just all the Keep Out signs.....not our thing.

Good little hike, nothing strenuous. Once you get to the falls it’s awesome, if you don’t mind getting your footwear wet then definitely explore the abandoned mines and if you trust the ropes then there is another hidden gem above the falls

Cross the log at the bottom of the hill and walk up past the old mine just follow the old road. Could probably swim in it if you like cold water dips. Worth the walk.

Make sure you cross the river over the log as you’ll get all the way to the waterfall then have to cross the river. Without proper shoes, it was challenging! Beautiful once you got to the waterfall! Very easy trail!

would have been better if the water was low enough to cross the river, but unfortunately it wasn't (without the proper footwear). Still got a glimps of the waterfall from the path on the right side of the river, it was very pretty, but wish we could have gotten closer.

Very easy trail, follow the mining road. (though it says no access and that it has motion detecting cameras - this is the trail.) Cross the river and within 5-10 mins you will see the waterfall. What makes this trail truly worth it is that you can actually go into the old mining shafts! Bring a flashlight and shoes you dont mind getting wet and go on an adventure getting closer to the waterfall than you would be able to otherwise.
