Great intensive hike if I don't have much time still want to have effective excerse in a natural environment, this would be the one.

Love the forest, varieties of trail surfaces, change mood as you go along old water bed, trails through falling trees, rockies roads with sharp stones large and small, hooping on tree stools in the muddy sections, braided tree roots... it's mostly shaded, so it's a good hike rain or shine. Efficient layout, hardly any flat boring sections, so it's perfect for me.

Why is this rated hard? Yes, you need to be an decent shape but is definitely not hard. You have to watch your footing for the first 40 minutes or so because of loose rocks but it is not hard. This hike should be done when it is dry. Apparently it is a great snowshoe.
