As someone else mentioned, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this at the end of winter without something for the ice. I went last week and it took my boyfriend and I almost 2 hours to scramble along the icy path, which can’t be avoided in most places. If the snow hadn’t turned to ice yet it might have been OK going off path. The best view of the falls is a rock just above, which was too icy for me to want to risk going on. Looking forward to returning when the snow and ice has melted!

Don’t bother trying this trail in the winter and early spring unless you have ice shoes. It’s super icy which makes it extremely difficult to go up the trail and back down. We tried half way through, gave up and walked back.

2-3hrs round trip.. Easy hike through the forest with a few steep areas to offer a bit of a challenge. Always lots of bugs, bring bug spray! The waterfalls are beautiful and worth the hike. You can get up close and personal with them, in saying that, there are no fences or rails at the falls and it's a long way down so watch your step and your kids. Bring water. Dog friendly off leash.

Well worth the effort. If it is muddy I would not advise going right up to edge.

Great hike with the family, 4 and 2 y/o handled it wonderfully. Trail was dry, a bit of up and down but you are rewarded with a beautiful waterfall and raging river in the end. Well worth the drive and hike.

Great trail for the little ones. Lots of mosquitoes though.

Mosquitoes were bad and forgot to bring big stuff ☹️. Since the kids were with decided to end the big torture and turned back half way. It’s a ways off the beaten track to the trail head. Will try again next time with plenty of Deet.

Lovely little hike and falls are nice to see. Can make a little loop for total of about 3km if you don’t mind a little steep section. Loved this.

Started recording late- about half way to the falls. Nice little walk. It’s tree covered for the most part so it’s nice on super hot days.

This was a great short trail to high payoff waterfall that is amazing!! The viewing area of the waterfall is raw and unfenced- so be careful around the top and enjoy the amazing views!!!

Fun trail with 2 different ways making it a loop. For the brave people you can walk right onto the rocks on top of falls and look over the edge.

Do not follow the flags! Go to the brown sign. Not great views of the falls maybe better in summer months? Crampons were a must at this time of year.

Nice little trail. Light snow makes some spots slippery, I’d bring some spikes for your boots.

Loved this hike easy for the kids close to our place in Invermere enjoyed the drive into Brisco stunning in the fall. The falls were intense and beautiful. Hubby braved the top edge but I didn’t get too close to edge haha. Great scenery easy for beginners or kids. We’ll be back again on our Kootney adventures

Little hike with a big payoff. A picturesque autumn walk to the falls, which did not disappoint. There are several nice lookouts along the way that made for great photos. Use caution with animals and kids: some lookouts have sharp drop offs, and of course be careful at the falls. The trail would be fine for dogs on leash. Overall, I’d highly recommend.
