Lizard Lake Trail is a wilderness trail that climbs from the Island Lake road though old growth cedar forest to a small tarn lake at treeline. It can get overgrown, but the trail is very distinct.

Steep climb, took us an hour and half with camping gear to get to the lake, and 45min back down. WHilst the lake isn't the nicest, is a great short hike. Reckon it'll be great to do when the wildflowers are out in July.

Pretty cool to see sections of the Old Growth Forest along the way, and has a stunning view of Fernie through a tree opening.

Beautiful once you get to the top but it's a steep climb and decent. Took us five hours return to do this hike.
