Gorgeous views at the top! The little cabin is awesome, you could stay overnight, little wood burning stove, a bed (need to bring a mat) and windows all around (just need to remove wood boardings.)

Very steep incline pretty much all the way, definitely a mod-hard trail. I would say 2-3hr return depending on how long you stay at the top.

The road up to the trailhead is very tricky! Takes about an hour once you hit the gravel road, 100% off roading, not maintained and very narrow usually fits one car at a time, if you come across a vehicle coming from the other way you need to do some creative thinking to make it work, especially along the cliff sides! No question you need a 4x4 vehicle with some height clearance!

Worth all the effort I promise!

The view is worth the climb. Slippery shale rock at points, but nothing too serious. The road up to the trailhead is worse than the climb! The payoff is so worth it. The Lookout itself is well maintained by other hikers. It has a wood stove and a few other basic necessities in the cabin. Nice short climb, maybe an hour tops, up to the lookout. There are picnic tables too to have a nice lunch spot.
