Completed this trail yesterday in less than 2 hours. A little muddy in some places but the trail is great and has some spectacular views. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite loops. Lots to see! Great to have a food/water break at Helen McKenzie on the large rocks on the edge of the lake. Very peaceful! Have done this hike many, many times.

My fave trail to do every weekend from May - September. We went today but wasn’t prepared for how much mud there was. Make sure to dress appropriately for the mud some spot the mud was up to our calves.

Great afternoon activity! Beautiful scenery. Quite a bit of easy board walk; however it is still snowy and muddy end of May so wear decent footwear!

Hiked it in the snow yesterday. Brought snowshoes but didn’t need them, as there hasn’t been any recent snowfall and the trail is packed down. My favorite hike to do all year long. It’s beautiful.

Did this snow hike-n-camp last weekend. Spent two nights on the campground edge over looking the lake. There was a pre-dugout area with seating and tent area with wind walls! *Thanks to the person before us for that! If your planning on going up soon, it still will be there till Spring I’m sure. Parking pass is free! Sign-in at the Nordic Lodge (I couldn’t find that info anywhere online, was a nice surprise). We rented snow shoes and a trail pass for 2 days and for 2 people, was around $100. The pass is to walk within the snowshoe trials to access the park trails (which are unmarked but so easy to find and follow). You definitely have to do the loop by taking the trail by the right. On the way back it’s a long flat walk on the lake with a gradual but steep decline. If we took the loop by the left, it would of been much more harder! Enjoy!

Beautiful snowshoe day. One caution is that it actually crosses the lake - I wouldn’t do it too late in the season. We tried to find a trail around it but there is only the crossing country skate track.

Great trail; very diverse scenery. Well marked with boardwalk over the wet areas. Lots of birds, animals and vegetation including mushrooms to see. Great half day hike with time for a swim or a picnic along the way. A few mosquitoes and horseflies this time of year. Plan ahead and hike safe.

Trail was in great shape on Aug 27 when we hiked it. A few horse flies but basically no bugs. Be prepared and be safe.
