Covered in snow, crazy amounts for May. Be prepared to get wet :)

Beautiful trail with lots and lots of fantastic views. We did this route on the 9th October and it was fairly muddy - will only get worse. However, highly recommended!

Great hike, easy access. Some roots and muddy sections. Easy to moderate hike. Can do in a day. Highly recommend the route.

Beautiful afternoon hike. A bit buggy after recent rain on a very still day. Agree with poster below, we were 16.7km, not 14.5. A touch over 4h.

Did on Sept 1. Encountered few other hikers. Nice loop, first and last kms are easy boardwalks, the remaining is a moderate trail. We followed the exact route but ended up doing 17 km, not 14.5. Only 470m elevation gain. The side of battleship lake up to kwai lake is the most beautiful part.

Was foggy and Cloudy the day we did it! The Battleship lake side of the track is more well groomed than the otherside of the loop. Walking it took us about 5 hours, with breaks (and a waiting for our hiking partners to catch up) 7 hours. I'd imagine this would stunning when you can see everything!

Completed June 16th. Snow in some areas but won't slow you down. Passable all the way around.

My partner and I completed first the trail up to Helen-Mckenzie lake as we were told the trail to Kwai lake was not yet accessible due to snow. However, we met some fellow hikers who advised it is and came back the following day to complete the loop around Kwai lake. There was snow past Helen-Mckenzie lake but we found it manageable without crampons. Stunning views of lakes, snow capped mountains and tiny waterfalls where the melting snow is gushing down. Highly recommended. My Strava recorded 17.52km and we completed it in just under 6 hours inclusive of a couple of breaks and a 30 min lunch stop.

Fantastic! Picked this hike because we got an Airbnb at Mount Washington and it was close by. Got really lucky because this was beautiful! Not too challenging though and absolutely breathtaking. Got to come back and see the area around it someday. The ridge above Moat Lake is beckoning.

Great hike during the summer months, still quite a bit of snow when I went (mid June) so that's something to be mindful of. I imagine once the weather is hot for longer the snow will melt.
