Very nice hike, sound of the river drowns out most cars. Tunnels were closed from both ends, but the KVR and Coquihalla Canyon Park are the big show stoppers. Decent elevation gains, not overly difficult. Trail is well maintained and clearly marked. A couple washouts throughout, and an avalanche took out the fence near the end of the tunnels.

Two thirds the way in got to the first tunnel. Gate up and locked. Too high to scale the gate. Perhaps reason for the trail closed sign at the beginning!

This trail is definitely not moderate. It is a wide long trail with no elevation. Lots of families with strollers so almost anyone can handle this. The view at the tunnels is beautiful. We were able to let our dog play in the river for a bit before turning around. I highly recommend going just to see it.

Tunnels are open. Great trail for families. Flat and wide. We found a little side trail that brings you to the side of the river 2/3 of the way on the left. Great spot for a stop but not for a swim.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Tunnels were closed when I went (possibly for the season?) Many people climb over or around the fence to access the tunnels anyway.

Once past the tunnel tourists we had the trail almost to ourselves. We passed the final tunnel then it's a gentle downhill all the way to Kettle Valley Road. A quick break then the return, a gentle uphill all the way back. A few decent views of the river but nothing spectacular.
