Beautiful coastline mixed with forest trails. Mix of easy and moderate, with ups and downs, some scrambles and some well-groomed trails. My dog loves this park but I keep him leashed on the coast trail because he can be a little too eager to explore the cliffs.

I LOVED this trail. Warnings: It is challenging when you reach the coastline, especially if you are afraid of heights. Also be careful and look underneath, there are a lot of snakes, they are chill, but easy to step on (in the grass especially). We almost sat on one. Now to the good parts: this trail goes through a multiple number of different ecosystems, you can even feel the change is smell, temperature, humidity and plants. There are a lot of beautiful bird sounds, we also spotted an owl. Overall I would 100% recommend this trail.

This was a really enjoyable hike. I found it had a good mix of views of the coast, meandering through the rain forest and also the old mine to check out. I enjoyed that this trail had a wide variety of terrains -- uphill, downhill and flat terrain - not all uphill one way and downhill the other, like a lot of hikes. Definitely bring enough water with you as it took us about 2 hours, 45 minutes at a fairly relaxed pace to complete it.. Highly recommend this hike.

Beautiful trail. Don't let the total elevation fool you as the trail is very up and down.

Fairly easy trail, expect large roots and narrow paths at areas along the coast, however once you’re in the forest it’s mostly clear. Very cool caves from the miners as you go up Copper Mine Trail

Beautiful hike along the water, east signage and well maintained. Scramble a bit over rocks. We did this trail and added a steep hill run we found along the way. (Maguire Hill maybe?) so many path options to shorten or make longer. All and all perfect day!

I agree with other reviewers this is not easy. I love this loop but as with anything to do with the Coast Trail to call it easy is a disservice and can be dangerous. Read some of the other reviews to be prepared. I’d call this trail moderate with some class 2 scrambling, uneven footing, some steep sections. Be prepared, no or very little cell service. Rocks are slippery when wet which is often as it is coastal. Bring extra water! This is an absolutely beautiful area of our world and we love having this as our backyard.

Great loop although should be marked moderate throughout and difficult on coastal parts. The first 15 mins to Iron Mine Bay is flat and very accessible but the coastal trail involves some scrambling and two thirds of the walk is in the forest and also has lots of steep up and down sections and uneven footing. If you are moderately fit you can easily do this hike at your own pace and take rests but you do need good mobility. We done it in two and a half hours including breaks but we walked briskly. Enjoy and make sure you wear proper footwear especially in winter.

Great hike... but the coastal trail section should be ranked as Difficult!! Saw some seals fishing in the algae, beautiful scenery - especially on costal section. Also a great leash free hike for well behaved dogs! Good shoes required for some sections.
