Delightful morning hike with sun breaks lighting up the golden larches on mountains west of Columbia Lake. Stunning views south of Columbia Lake from top of hoodoos.

This is at least a 4km hike return (not as advertised 3.2) and more if you want. Great views at the top. Worth the hike.

Easy hike to the hoodoos. Way better view of them from the highway though.

Nice 1 hour walk including a few stops for pictures at the top. Some private property to stay out of. Although the best picture of the hoodoos themselves are from the highway.

Great trail, very easy. There is no sharp climbs, and a very nice view. Can be done within 2 hours even if you stop and take pictures every five minutes like I did

Easy enough to do with the kids. Nice view at the top.

Didn’t love it, foolish to do it in the heat of the afternoon in August. Was told to take a left at the fork in the road which would be a loop, obviously misunderstood ended up walking back on the road to the parking lot.

An accessible hike with some great views of the Columbia valley. I was out at 2pm on a sunny day and the trail was exposed - it would be spectacular at sunset and is close enough to Fairmont to allow a photo op. Nice way to spend an hour.

good workout for a short hike. uphill for most of the beginning. great scenic views. was hoping for better views of hoodoos but still worth the effort especially for a workout.

I think it's important to balance what people call easy. One climbs up a reasonably steep hill about a kilometer. Then levels off. vistas are beautiful.

This is a great hike and it is a huge climb. All trails somehow made a typo on the elevation for this trail, it’s closer to 300 meters. This is on a sign before you start the trail. You also have to walk 0.5 of a mile to the trail head from the parking lot on a gravel road. Rocks are amazing it’s a must do.

Great trail with lots of uphill. Please bring water, proper footwear and don't overestimate your ability or the fact the trail is marked easy.

Nice stroll, but nothing too exciting.

Amazing views from the top. Steeper climb than I was anticipating but we stopped for a few breaks and it was great.... I'm not in as great of shape as I hoped. Nice wide paths, incredible views of the river, valley and mountains. Absolutely a must-see, must-do hike.

Great trail. The views are spectacular. It’s worth the 45 minute drive from Panorama. We went on a Wednesday and there were not too many people.

Missed recording the first .7 Km’s. this was the steepest part. Was expecting to be in the hoodoos. Was actually on top looking over the valley. Still neat experience.

Not enough snow for snowshoes at this time. The trail was very easy and I would recommend it to all difficulty levels as the view at the top is amazing!

We we’re out on Family Day weekend, this was a great quick hike even in snowy conditions. Snow shoes weren’t necessary at all. We passed lots of large groups on this trail with their pups. The hoodoos are snow covered and viewed from above so we mostly enjoyed the rest of the scenery.

We got engaged here last year so naturally we love it. Not a very difficult hike, we went during our New Year's break so there was no one there. Our dog had a great time too.

Really short trail (45-50 mins), but there’s not much to see until you get to the top. The trail is pretty sandy, which is a little annoying. Overall, an okay hike but probably wouldn’t do it again.

This is a shorter family-friendly hike. Neat landscape. Best with ice cream afterwards.

Nice hike, but it is much shorter than 2 to 3 hours. It only took us 50 minutes. Perhaps this is because a section of the trail is cordoned off.

My daily walk / hike from our summer place. It’s a great family hike for kids, adults and seniors. If you’re moving you can get to the top in about 15 min and down in about 13, but what’s the rush? Take your time and enjoy the nature. Before you hike it, look at the hoodoos from the highway or the Hoodoo gas station / campground so you get a sense of where you’re going to be heading and what it looks like from below. Couple notes to help out: 1) there are no garbage or recycling bins along the trail or at the trailhead. Bring out what you bring in. 2) stay on the trail. Can’t emphasize this enough. Watch out for children and pets (on leash) at the top. 3) relatively speaking, the toughest section is the 400m after the gate. There are many flat spots after this. 4) enjoy and stop at the Hoodoo gas station for an ice cream afterwards. The kids’ size is $3.50 and plenty big enough.
