Beautiful hike. If you walk up to the water reservoir it is fairly steep. Come back on the West side and the trail is crushed gravel and basically flat. The various water falls are beautiful. A pleasure to do

Love this trail! Amazing air, amazing light, beautiful sounds of the creek and falls. Recommend going counter-clockwise as the climbs are steeper and shorter. Clockwise is more consistent uphill, less steep though. Lots of things to spot along the trail - falls, creeks, sandy beach, geo caches, owls, sunlight filtering through majestic Doug Fir and Western Red Cedars. Easily connects to extensions like the Look Out, Heart Lake Loop or Stocking Lake Loop.

First part of Trail is very pretty running alongside river. Nice secondary Forest. Return part of Trail though is not very secluded running alongside houses parts of the road and some construction.

Beautiful trail with lots of old growth trees alongside. There is even a waterfall on the creek, beautiful morning for a walk.

What a gorgeous trail - well maintained with a good mix of ups/downs/fat sections. When I arrived this morning a woman coming off the trail informed me that she had seen a bear cub but scared it away with her whistle. Another woman and her dog and I decided to set out together and did not see anything, but please be bear aware on this trail!

We’ve hiked this trail many times in all 4 seasons, each has it’s own appeal. Fall rains are when the salmon return to the lower reaches. Spring run-off produces a great waterfall... Loads of parking at different starting points. Family friendly so it can be busy at times. A nice extension is to hike up the the Kinsmen Lookout, nice views of the inlet and islands.

This was my first time doing the whole loop. Liked it a lot, fairly easy and quick little workout.

Trail was in good condition and not busy at all, even though there were several vehicles in the lot.

Beautiful lush mature forest. We went on a hot day and appreciated the shade provided by the massive trees. Very tranquil setting with the song birds and the running creek. I’d rate this trail more on the easy side than moderate.

Awesome trail we'll marked with plenty of options for detouring. Lots of stairs and steep hills.

Walked this with a girlfriend today - it was BEAUTIFUL! The trail is clear with only a few muddy spots. The falls, the creek, the forest, ALL amazing! Took us about 1.5hrs but we were moving pretty fast! I would rate this a 5 star BUT once we crossed the street bridge in Dogwood we didn’t know which trail to continue on back to our vehicles on 6th! So we ended up using google map to my parked car, which took us on the roadway of course. Thus the 4 star. I need to figure out which is North when I am looking at the All Trails map - both on the map and the actual direction

We hiked this a few days ago and needed to do an out and back instead of a loop as there was construction on one side. We took our dog and she loved it!
