The trail is fairly wet/muddy along the way and also got quite rocky. Be prepared and wear good shoes! The lookout point is a beautiful view.

Side trail down to lower falls is super sketchy and not well marked, would leave that out next time.

Really good hike :) challenging at times as it can be very rocky and steep in some places but we really enjoyed it

Gold creek parking lot basically full by 10am on a weekday. Too busy to fully enjoy the falls. I recommend getting there as early as possible.

majority of it is quite easy but after the fork to go down to the lower falls it gets quite steep. probably would call it moderate just because of that last km before the viewpoint. great scenery up there though. loved it.

We went along West Canyon which was a nice trail. Then at the fork went right down to the lower trail instead of Alder flats. First few meters were okay then it parts were washed out, off trail, huge trees over the trails and really hard to navigate. Extremely slippery and over grown. We followed along the creek but stopped as it was pretty dangerous. We hike a lot and we barely made it back out of lower trail & also badly marked. Would not recommend this lower portion.

Nice hike. Took a little under 3 hours. I got started a bit late so didn’t see anyone on the trail after the first hour.

Started on the west canyon trail, going clockwise, headed on west to alder flats, broke back to east canyon trail after the bridge- my mistake of missing the higher falls- crossed over to lower falls and took lower falls trails to the bridge and back to west canyon trail. Loved the part to alder flats- scramble incline but pretty views. Wish I had followed east canyon trail back as I have done the lower falls trail many times, quite boring. Will do alder heights later in the year as well. Took me 2.5 hrs with stops. Fun loop!

Very nice trail. Was a good hike on a nice day. Trail is in good shape. Had to park and walk from east canyon parking lot. West canyon closed due to construction/washouts from the recent rain storm.

wonderful trail, i went from west canyon up to the east west canyon connector. parks of the trail could be preseved as difficult. i went in Jan amd some of the trail had become part of the drainage system of the mountain and was fun but slippery

breast trail, no view of upper falls from west side which is by far the hardest so we were glad we did it first

Passed through here on our way up to Alder Flats! Amazing hike (even in heavy downpour)! The view of the creek is breath-taking!

Really fun trail. Once you adjust to the rockiness of the path, it’s easier to keep your head up and look around. Incredibly beautiful trees, huge stumps and overall gorgeous. Would question the ‘easy’ rating, as there is at least .5km where you are scrambling uphill via footholds and loose rocks that isn’t marked well. But for the breathtaking view at the top - worth it.
