Constructed on the abandoned CNR (Canadian National Rail) the Galloping Goose Trail covers a distance of 55 km plus with all the connections of the E&a through the Esquimalt and the Lochside trails in Sidney. This is trail is mostly off the road with few road crossing, many giving the right way to the cyclists. Parts of the trail are beautiful in case with a cathedral of trees and a wonderful way to see Victoria. Very easy, trail mainly flat and paved. Some parts are do have packed gravel section however a great trail for all riders. I use the trail for main road riding. Mtbing when out for a family ride. Dogs are allowed on leash. We took ours in baskets for 30km ride to the off leash park downtown. Great ride!!
