Fantastic hike! Would definitely recommend staying overnight if you manage to get a spot - beautiful campground. The first 8km are pretty easy, gentle elevation and very scenic took us about 2 hours with a couple snack breaks. Once you reach the headwall however it gets way more intense, about an hour or so straight of switchbacks with a big elevation gain. Once you get to the top it’s less than a km to the lake - nice to jump in after a sweaty day of hiking. Pretty narrow trail at some spots but overall would go back!
