Douglas Bay Campsite to Lost Lake and Gambier Lake is a fairly straightforward and well marked trail with two significantly steep sections. Finding the trailhead from Lost Lake can be a bit tricky, at the intersection you will need to follow a slight elevation and climb to the old log road, despite not seeing an obvious marker, and walk along the old log road beside the bluff. This will allow you to enter the marked pathway easily and keep the yellow square markers in sight as you enter the first steep section. From here the pathway is mostly flat and guides through lush forest, with a few sparse points where markers are a bit hidden, until you reach the Douglas Bay Intersection. At the intersection turn left to get to Gambier Lake, and begin following red and orange square markers up a steep incline. At the bottom of the incline you will reach another intersection leading to the lake and Camp Latona. At this point the markers change back to yellow squares and you will follow the gravel road left to the lake. Along the way you will pass a pit toilet, and beside the lake 3-4 campsites with fire pits. The lake is swimmable and is filled with salamanders.
