Note that the East side of the Buntzen Lake Loop trail is closed at the moment (April 2017; not sure when it will re-open), so the only option to make the loop around the lake is to walk on the gravel service road, which is relatively exposed with some views, but under power lines. An alternative (which I would opt for if I repeated this hike) would be to hike back along the west side of Buntzen Lake.

This was a nice hike for its length, but I think just OK for its views. Great if you want to see Vancouver; not so great if you'd like a view up Indian Arm into less developed scenery.

It was enjoyable with good look outs. At a slow pace it took 4h. Not won of the many dogs were on leash, lucky they were all behaved.

I like this hike in the of season, I just go to the big lookout and turn around great workout, amazing views and the rest of the trail was confusing the time I did although I hear better signage now :)

Great trail. Got a little lost along the way at the north end of the loop, but otherwise it was a great way to spend a Sunday :)
