Clear Creek Hot Springs OHV Route is a 33.5 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Kent, British Columbia, Canada that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options.
very easy and wide road even for sedan cars. couldn't finish it due to low fuel. the route goes all the way up the east side of the lake. camping area at the lake bank.
after the recent rains the washouts have gotten worse. still a fun trail but you do need something with better clearance and tires. also wider vehicles won't have access much longer as "Maggie" is blocking half of he road after one of hills with th road starting to give way where everyone has to go around it. none of the creeks were an issue though.
Awesome hotsprings, three tubs to choose from. best time is first thing in the morning or later in the evening . roads in were fine till last stretch with constant washouts and two somewhat decent rivers to cross. Got upto the hotsprings ok in my Santa Fe, but ended up staying a second day due to the closest river being trickier on the way out. I'd recommend this trip to anyone looking for a good drive and great bath. but for the love of BC, clean up after yourself
Harrison East FSR is well maintained and okay for 2wd, but 4x4 is necessary for the last 13km up Clear Creek FSR to the springs. Lots of mild but annoying water bars every few hundred metres, and a few creek crossings which were not very deep when we went. There is one annoying section of a few boulders in a washout, but someone has added logs to make the descent a little easier. My Xterra made it easily! Springs were awesome and hot, had been relatively cleaned up, but there were a few clothing items left behind. Few groups there on a Monday who were all very nice and pleasant to talk with. Note: Human waste is problem in the forest area behind the springs, but with no outhouse, I guess there's no other options...
So, drove out to Clear Creek Hot Springs today. From Harrison it took 2 hours. Harrison FSR is doable in a 2 wheel drive. Once you get on Clear Creek FSR a 4x4 is required. We were in a Tacoma and bottomed out twice. Last few years the road was graded and easier to get to. Now there are numerous washouts, large rocks, water up to the doors, and areas where you will not make it unless you have clearance. Once up there there are many campers and vehicles, everyone was partying, and beer cans everywhere. Not peaceful at all. There are 3 tubs fed by hoses. Water was very nice, but not a natural feeling. Someone had pooped on the floor in the shed/changeroom. So, overall it was fun to 4x4 out, but once there, a little disappointed.
