Started from Royal Park shopping mall parking. Nice easy walk. A bit crowded in some upper sections, which can be a problem when encountering runners, bikers especially those who don’t respect social distancing. Signs should be posted more frequently. Nice view at the lake from Cleveland Dam.

Was little muddy in spots, got there early and when we came out people were waiting for parking. Overcast made it a great day to go. Some awesome view points.

Very easy trail, you don’t really have good views of the river or canyon, I was expecting more or at least have some contact with the water, is good to reach from the city by bus, it took us 5 hours at a slow pace. Recommended if you want something light.

Easy trail with little to no elevation until about halfway when the trail gradually starts to incline. Can be busy on the weekends.

A scenic tour for people just looking for a hearty walk in the park. A good introduction for the young or novice.

Nice trail. We started at Park Royal Center, walking along the river through a part of “city ’s backstreet”. The river was gurgling and the air was fresh, The white cherry blossom trees occasionally Leaped out from the green background, made us think there would be a kimono-girl coming out anytime, which is completely Kawabata Yasunari's style! Upstream was steeper, but not very much, walking along with the creeks and bridges were fun. At the top is Capilano Lake, a cute green house in the middle of the lake, snow capped mountains in the distance, beautiful!

Nice hike. I did started at Park Royal and returned there. The way back can be boring. I enjoyed. It was not crowed and very fresh.

I started down by park royal and ambleside. I liked that the trail started in the city and worked it's way up, out of the urban dwelling, and into the forest. It was a very slow, gradual incline that actually didn't really feel like walking up a hill at most parts. There were only a couple sections that were slightly steeper (but not much steeper) short inclines. I am a super novice hiker/nature Walker and not in the best shape, but I found this trail to be quite easy. It was beautiful and not super crowded. I strongly recommend :)

September 28, 2019 - windy but sunny day. started at 10:30 and trail wasn't too busy. lots of dogs off leash, but no issues. rained the day before so it was a little muddy/slippery. trail is a fairly easy walk and the incline is steady so it's not grueling. would do this again

Walk quite boring for young people that are fit. Nice view of the Lions, no need to do that walk to see it. LI’d rather walk into the forest or do part of the Baden Powell

I started from the Cleveland dam. The watershed was quite picturesque this time of year. The trail head took some effort to find but once you're on it, it's difficult to get lost. Trail was flat most of the way, good for any age group (about 8km one way). Beware that you will be walking on gravel paths and some residential streets once you get past the suspension bridge. I ended at Park Royal mall. Would do it again for the exercise.

Nice walk. Some beautiful green scenery the other half was gravel. It took just under 3 hrs. I made it to Park Royal Mall. The next leg going to Ambleside I did not do as I have already done that section. Plus I don’t consider beach walks hikes.

We started this hike from the Ambleside Park just past the washrooms. The hike/walk to the dam, hatchery and back was 17.5 km. Very scenic well-maintained Trail that takes you mostly through the forest .
