Full length if starting in Ambelside Park is 15km. Various trails through the park for exploring - so time and distance can vary. Very scenic.

DONT MISS THE COHO LOOP NEAR THE HATCHERY and besides from that, a great trail did it all the way down to park royal and public transport available from fonteyn and elson street line 236 to the city. it was Saturday and no crowds everyone is on the suspension bridge haha

we were going to do the suspension bridge but decided not to after seeing the price. we joined the trail on the way back. nice lookout points and you can get down to the river in some areas.

Nice little trail, quite urban to start with, we started from Marine Drive, but was quite quiet along it, not too taxing, it's a gradual incline to the dam, good shelter in the trees and pretty surroundings too!

Very nice hike, long but not steep. Lots of cool wooden bridges and amazing dam in the one end of the loop. If you walk with small children, from half point it is possible to take s transit back or continue on the other side of the river. Overall it was 18 km and took 4 hours.

Easy, year around trail. Nice scenery. The canyon is very beautiful. It took us 4-5 hours to finish the whole trip.

The top part of the trail is beautiful. I would not suggest to start where this map suggests because the first mile or two is very urban like walking by parking lots. Part of the trail washed out 30 years ago and was never rebuilt so you have to walk around high rise condos. Just past the condos is an underpass which would be a better place to start this hike in my opinion. Not sure if it's legal but cars were parked there and no signs prohibiting. That way you're not so tired when you reach the really beautiful parts of the hike. Other than that hike was easy through beautiful forest.

If you start from park royal it is an interesting combo of urban/nature hike (at the beginning). As you go follow the Capilano river you pass through some condo areas and such. That is short lived as the trail is very nice and leads to the beautiful Capilano lake. The Cleveland dam at the top is a sight on its own! Highly recommend for anyone in the city looking to explore but not venture too far out of town.

Beautiful forest and waterways!

It was a nice, scenic, easy hike. More like a walk through the forest most of the time, with the exception of a few stairs and a couple short steep hills. I'd call it easy for most, maybe moderate if you have mobility issues. Again, just due to the steps and hills. Mostly flat though.

This trail really surprised me! I wasn't expecting so many lovely view points and such diverse natural habitat. While some may say it is an easy hike, I felt it was moderate if taken at a good pace. Take a moment on the Coho Loop near the hatchery to watching salmon jump. I will certainly do this hike again!
