Great Day to hike Buntzen Lake. Traffic is one way and this works well. Arrive early as even though the day was grey and by the end it was raining - the gates were closed at 10:30 when we were leaving as the park had reached capacity!

Lake loop trail is open one way only, beaches, boat launch closed. trails is dry today, well maintained. fast pace took us 1 hr 50 mintutes. park rates it longer. Noticed the Diaz Vista trailhead is also open.

FYI: Park is currently completely closed due to COVID-19. I believe this is because it is a water reservoir.

Great running trail! Perfect rolls, not too extensive. Very dog friendly! (On- leash) and access to water at all times. Not all shades, some parts are exposed. Parking was full near south beach, so we parked by Anmore Cr. and followed the trail toward the lake. Clearly marked.

Forgot it was the Sunday before Spring break starts, the trial was packed. Was a little muddy after the suspension bridge but otherwise a great trial overall. Trial ran for half of it

Ran out of battery for a proper timing/mapping of the hike! This is an easy but long hike all around the reservoir. Time your start-to-end with the gate closure of the park. Comfortably done in running shoes. Many dogs on the trail. Great vues and if you fish this is a place to keep in mind.

We always like loop trails and Buntzen Lake is one of those trails. It's a nice trail with some up and downs, but should be ok for everyone.

Great trail to run on! It's incredibly easy if you are just going for a 10k walk/light hike.

Husband and I did this hike today with our boxer. Was awesome. Perfect temperature and the clear skies were a bonus. We left the parking lot at 12:45 and returned to vehicle at 3:20. Didn’t stop much, was a good hike. Not too busy today but it is a week day. Will do again. Beautiful views

Good trail that is fairly easy to hike or run on. Trail is nicely laid out and maintained, which makes for easy hiking or running. Not too busy at the time but seems like a trail that can get quite congested. Not a whole lot of scenery since most of the trail is in tree cover, but interesting vegetation throughout. Great views of the lake and mountains when there are openings.

I was completing this trail today. The total was 11km, and it took me 2 and a half hours. The trail is a little bit up and down, but it is suitable for physical exercise.

Easy hike. It is basically a loop around the lake. My suggestion would be to start in clockwise direction. Diez Vistas trail is much better (although a bit more challenging), you get to see both the viewpoints and then some beautiful views of the Buntzen lake.

A nice trail that has lovely views of the lake. Took us 2.5 hours to complete. GPS clocked 10.4 km for full loop. Although the trail is well marked, the trail itself is a well defined path. I would rate it as an EASY trail as it does not have any technical or tricky section.

Great day on the trail. Trail is on greet condition with very little mud. It is a well marked trail. I had the kid on my back so it was a little slow going.

November 7, 2019 at 2pm: Nice solid hike, not too challenging but definitely a good workout. Good views of the lake, though it's probably nicer in the Spring/Summer. Wasn't busy at all with maybe 6-8 cars in the parking lot. FYI the gate closes at 4:30pm this time of year so don't head out there too late. Also did see a bear for the first time this year so always be alert.

This was an urban walk along the more unused trails that are more level then the regular trails.

Started at 1.20pm and ended at 4.30pm ish and that’s with breaks (20 mins lunch) in between. Saw about 20 people in total. Older hikers and dog owners too. There are areas where it’s complete silence with no one around and that’s much appreciated.

Great trail for someone who wants to get into hiking more. We did this at the beginning of fall season where it has rained quite a bit the week before. Quite wet in some spots but if you come prepared it is no problem. Super trail even in the fall.
