Great hike! Did this on January 8th. Snow on the trail, bring your snow shoes...I did this with small spikes. Can be done in under 2 hours. Tried to got further. But the end of the trail is closed for winter conditions. I am going to do this one again.

Snowshoed this trail today. Took around 2.5 hours round trip. Nice views (a bit obstructed by trees and snow). Very well maintained and marked trail. Lots of snow. I recommend it!

Well maintained simple trail. Easily done in under two hours at a good pace. Nice cardio workout and cabin lake is a sweet spot to rest

Absolutely worth it . Next time I will continue to Eagle Bluffs.

My friend and I did this hike yesterday and it was gorgeous!! Pretty steady incline that starts quite early in the hike but well worth the trek up to cabin lake... serene and peaceful :) very rocky so good shoes are a must! took us 3 hours in total with rest time at the top!

Amidst the rainfall, it took a little dog and myself 30+ mins to get up to Cabin Lake itself. Only saw two other hikers and their two dogs along the way. Once we were up there, there was no one but a beautiful lake and free birds flying around.

Husband and I are not wildly experienced hikers, but are both in decent shape. This was a pretty challenging hike, we thought. Steep, narrow, and rocky pretty much all the way up - took us about 1.5 hours to reach the lake. Worth it, once we reached the top - the lake is just lovely. We went late in the day, which was good, as the crowd had thinned out (we did encounter a lot of people on their descent as we climbed up the trail). Lots of dogs, and no one we encountered regarded the on-leash rule, unfortunately. Also saw lots of dog poop in plastic baggies people had left along the side of the trail. Not cool, people! Be sure to wear good, supportive hiking shoes or boots for this one. The trail is very steep in places and has a lot of loose rock.

Hidden treasures with a lovely hike up to the top. We didn't get much of a view from the top due to weather conditions but the experience was amazing nevertheless, we got an amazing view of the lake and saw some local if not over friendly Chipmunks as they have clearly been hand fed. Please do not feed!

Brilliant for little ones, steep but short trail and birds and chipmunks that will eat out of your hand. Very pretty lake.

Went with my 4year old son. It was an easy climb as we didn’t sweat as much as the BCMC last week. We had lunch by the cabin lake. Some people were very loud and obnoxious... If you’re going on nature walks, avoid playing your obnoxious music and shouting &laughing out loud... It’s pure curtesy.

Went early in the morning so lots of fog but apparently it clears out during later in the day. Beginning was the hardest and after the trail gets easier. Features several lakes.

We hiked this in March. Lots of snow so I would recommend spikes otherwise you’ll have fun sliding down on the way back. The view was beautiful and there was lots of snow so wear waterproof gear or bring a jacket/something to sit on. Would love to come back in the summer when the trails are marked and easier to follow. The trail to Eagle Bluff from Black Mountain was a bit confusing so we ended up just looping back up to the Black Mountain view.

quite steep and difficult on the way up, but the lake at the end is so worth it!!! bring a bathing suit and towel, and enjoy! also, right off this trail is the yew lake Lookout, and that's quite breathtaking. would highly recommend this hike if you're up for a hit of a challenge.

Nothing to see on a cloudy day. Just a very steep and crowded hike to a small and crowded (though pretty) lake. Also there is very loud construction happening nearby which you can hear throughout the hike.

Fun hike with a refreshing dip to cool off.
