A great hike to do on a day with visibility for amazing views! (Ymir peak can be spotted!) Well defined trail, just use with caution and watch for mountain bikers. There is a bench at the look out which offers a great spot for a rest or lunch.

Terrific, short trail. Paired with other trails in the area to build your own loop. Beautiful scenery, capped by an amazing, nearly 360 degree view of the valley and Kootenay River. Summit runs into the Smallwood Trail and has benches available for taking in the view. This trail brackets the steeper Smallwood Trail downhill section that's tailored more for biking. If on foot, you'll want to take Bigwood and bypass that section of the Smallwood Trail.
