Admiralty Point Trail is a gorgeous path that is enjoyable all year round. It has excellent views, nice beaches, and many interesting stopping points. Be sure to see Cod Rock, Periwinkle Notch, and Maple Beach along the way. The trail itself alternates between walking paths and light hiking trails. It is suitable for all ages and abilities. If you prefer a longer and slightly more difficult adventure, this trail can also be turned into a loop by continuing past Admiralty Point. You will then see Whiteshell Bank, Burns Point and Caraholly Point. Next, as you leave the shoreline you will pass by the trials motorcycle park. And finally, you can stroll around Woodhaven Swamp before returning to your starting point via the Springboard trail. You may notice that this route includes a section between Burns Point and Caraholly Point for which Alltrails does not show a trail. Not to worry as the unmarked trail is there and although lightly used, the path is clear to see.

The part that is along the inlet was beautiful and fun. Mountain part was really hard to follow when we tried to avoid to go on the main road and kept walking in the bushes.

Strange loop! If you go anti clockwise from the start it’s a nice easy walk along the waterside but not flat, rocky and exposed roots. Then past Admirality point it gets weird. You have to go up into the Forrest and the trail is not very well trodden then get to the power lines and follow the BC hydro access road for about 4km, it was totally deserted at this point and weaves through the Forrest. Very nice. Then you are brought out to the main road back into the park and have to walk along side until you get to the swamp loop trail. We choose to duck into the Forrest and follow this which is lovely rather than the road for the last leg. Very much an adventure but definitely not an easy trail I would say at least moderate if not hard in some places

Great route, good water views however the second half you lose the trail so it becomes more densely forested so make sure you come prepared.

Very easy hiking, with lots of loop and trail, mostly shaded, with no lookout but beautiful view.
