This is definitely a grind, it’s not too long of a hike, but it can be tough if you’re not use to going straight up, but it’s worth to try at least once. Pretty view of farm lands. The parking is next to the Abby gun range off exit #3.

Great trail, love the incline. Soft dirt and dryness in the summer make for a dirty climb- wear pants- not shorts. Did the hike in just over an hour with a 50lb kid on the back and a 6 year old hiking (and a golden retriever). Good city view when the sky is clear.

Great workout

Great hike to get some elevation training. Super dusty which made it a little unstable and difficult to run but otherwise quite enjoyable.

This is an amazing trail for a great workout.. especially running down the trail. Best to go early in the morning before the traffic gets too busy. My dog loves it too!

Good cardio work out for sure. Proper footwear a must and wear bug spray (black flies) if you plan to stop and rest. Nice view at the top!

July 15, 2018- There is a steep incline from the beginning and it never ends lol. Wear proper footwear and bring poles if you have them. We ended up using big sticks on the way down because it’s hella hard to not slip due to the sheer steepness. It’s a great workout, covered by trees most of the way, so you shouldn’t burn. We did get bitten by mosquitoes so I’d recommend applying bug spray.

Very nice view at the top and a small clearing to sit for a bit. I’m in decent shape and found this to be a great workout for my legs lol. Didn’t run into any bears. I would NOT recommend this hike when it’s been raining because there’s a high chance you will slip and fall. Prepare to get really dusty as dirt gets kicked up with almost every step. Our little dog was white when we left and brown when we returned LOL. Oh, and bring water!!

Great trail, great hike. Awesome for a good cardio if you’re into that or take it as a slow-pace nature hike with the kids. Could build some steps on some of the muddy spots but that’s part of the challenge. At par if not better than the over-hype grouse grind.

Close to home - quick up and down. If it’s been raining it’s always super muddy.

Good grind for a short duration close to home!

This would be a great hike or multipke peak hike on a nice sunny day when the ground has been dry. When its been wet out or is raining, it is a complete mud slide. Make sure to bring poles, wear footwear with good grip and use the sides as much a possible if you hike on a wet day or encounter mud. It is very slick.

Steep in spots incredible view of the valley at the top

This hike is just alright. The viewpoint is not that nice, and I find the trail in general to not be very attractive.

It is close to where I live however, and it does make for a good workout because of how steep it is.

Super handy trail if you live nearby. Short enough blast of a workout. Trail forested and covered mostly. Lookout can be sunny. Can definitely get very busy on weekends but still no where near as busy as a Vancouver trail. Most spots are easy enough to allow others to pass, only a few narrow areas.

I would call it more heavily trafficked, by humans and bears, but still an awesome short hike. A bit of a grind and can get muddy at times during the winter, super valley views though and the people are always nice.

Love this hike! Been doing it for a couple summers. Still kicks my butt on the super hot days and the view is pretty amazing!

Super steep at the start and beware of the way down. Lots of loose dusty ground if it has not recently rained. Not a bad idea to bring a hiking stick or two for the decent.

This trailed kicked by butt! There is no warm up and there are very few flat sections. It's all uphill but the reward view of the valley is well worth the effort!!
