This was a really nice starter jaunt to the day. Quite interesting and easy. We did the trail across the Kicking Horse river and then crossed the road to start this hike just to add a bit more time.

Very light, enjoyable hike from the Kicking Horse Campground. Don't forget to pick up a pamphlet from the information stand. It has a great description about different points of the trail which gives you a great picture how the Canadian Pacific Railway was built in the late 1800s. The trail ends at the remains of an abandoned Baldwin locomotive.
