Awesome hike! Gorgeous scenery along the way with a rewarding view at the end. Perfect for beginners or a group of friends. I would definitely go again!

Great hike with some amazing scenery. No snow or ice on the trail there and the falls are no longer frozen. The trail down to the bottom of the falls is a bit steep but definitely do-able.

Nice little trail! Took us around an hour to do with our dog. The falls were still partially frozen as of May 6.

Decent trail but most of the hike was snow covered and the falls were still fairly frozen. Would love to complete this hike again in a month or 2 when the snow has melted!

Great little trail, and not another soul on it! Easy elevation gain. But as someone else pointed out, the way down to the falls is extremely steep! I think next time I’ll bring a rope and leave it there :)

Great beginner trail, super cute with a great view at the end. Very busy trail with tons of goats! Very dog friendly however we did encounter a black bear that seemed to follow us. All in all, would definitely go again!

Most of this trail is very nice - easy hiking in the trees! The section to get down to the creek is surprisingly steep. I was more worried about the logs to cross the creek, but those were easy to navigate compared to the descent/ascent from the trail/creek. The falls are very pretty and we’re definitely worth seeing.

Relatively short and easy hike for a beautiful 2 step water fall! Well worth checking out for a short hike!

We did this hike with our 9 and 5 year old. It has a good mix of forest and creek trail to keep their interest. Moderately steep most of the way to the creek. You can climb down a quite steep but short section to the creek bed and continue on to the falls. You need to cross the creek a few times but there are sturdy logs to go across. The falls are a nice place for lunch, and worth the walk. You can plan on cooling your feet in the stream or spending a bit of time with the kids playing in the shallow water. We went at a leisurely pace and made it into a 4 hour trip. We did see Bear scat twice on the trail so be cautious in the area.

For the most part the trail is easy. There is a couple parts where you have to cross the creek/river on logs. Part of the trail is washed out. Keep following upstream to the falls. You can stand and in the falls if you are brave enough!

Wasn't able to make it to the falls with the dogs but was able to see it from the other side which was still beautiful!

Made it almost to the falls and there was a huge black bear on the trail. Had to turn back before it saw us.

Great hike, pretty easy trail to hike. When you get to the creek we walked along the creek bank to get to the falls. The water was low enough to due so. we crossed the creek a couple times on the logs.

Easy to follow. Can't wait to do this in the summer as it was too icy to get right down to the falls.

great day for hike ! up to the falls for a snack and then scampered up to the left and took the trail up further around the back side to explore. found a nice little lean too down low that someone has made. trail up top had a lot of blow down so bush wacking required but worth it !

A nice easy hike. We started at the waste transfer site, hiked around the fence and found the trailhead marker easily. It was about a 20 min hike to the falls. Ate our lunch at the falls and then walked along the creek a bit. We took a less traveled path up from the creek and back up the main trail. It was easy to do with kiddos.

Done this hike a few times. It’s a quick, fun, easy hike to a beautiful waterfall. I am in the Nordegg area often (one of my favourite places) and have done many hikes out there. We enjoy mixing up the harder hikes with some easier ones when camping for a few days - so this one is great!

If you follow the signs taking you to the canyon, you will find it. It was way easier to go down into the canyon and follow the creek up. We have done this trail in the summer and winter. Snowshoes are recommended in the canyon during the winter.

Great place for viewing and taking a quick soak by the water. Really cold though !! Sure wakes you up. Some areas are really steep. Dog had to enable its 4 paw drive to get around. May be difficult for little kids.

Did with my wife. It was a nice hike. Another person on here advised to park at transfer station, walk aound the fence, and you'll come to trailhead sign. Glad for that cause we almost left. Coming back, we missed the sharp turn back up into the forest...walked along the river and realized that we had to backtrack. Oh well, a little adventure for the day.

Great little trail, just finished with my three boys ages 8-12 they had no issues with the steep slopes, great spot to have lunch once you reach the falls.
