Very challenging, spectacular views. The descent is incredibly steep. Poles, gloves, good hiking boots a must.

So beautiful! Once you get over the tree line (first fifteen minutes), any time you turn around you have an amazing view of mountain range and Abraham Lake. Lots of slate rock though so the way down was definitely challenging, to say the least. BUT worth it!

The views are absolutely stunning from start to finish. Strait up and down the entire way. The most difficult part about this hike is the descend. The shale makes it very difficult to get down. Recommend a good pair of hikers with solid ankle supports and some poles.

Very rewarding hike as the view of Abraham lake was amazing.Would highly recommend ankle supports and some rain gear as the weather is very unpredictable . Aside from the extreme decent the hike was challenging yet wast always too difficult to find the trail.

Very steep right from the beginning, but absolutely stunning views from the top. Views alone would give this hike a 5* rating, however going back down the loose shale and rocks was very challenging, even with good hiking boots and poles. Had quite a few slips. The descent took away from the overall hike. 2 hours up, 2 hours down

I would rate this hike as 5+ star if not for the terrible descent. The steep climb and panoramic views from the summit are great, but the descent gets a 0. It was difficult to get a solid grip on the shale rock, even with proper footwear and poles. Recommend for advanced climbers because of the steep descent.

Absolutely incredible views at the top! The descent is a little sketchy but poles definitely make a difference!
