It was confusing to find at first, is overgrown. Wear pants & long sleeves. honestly most of the trail we just winged it. Took us 8 hours total (but we didn’t really follow the path at all) as long as you follow the creek and take the sheeps trail up on the left side you will be fine. Sep. 2019

If you use my gpx. file beware we took the longer boulder way around, there it was a loop. You can find other tracks that just go in and out. It was a challenging long scree gully after the bouldering and gators are most definitely preferred! You're in for a double the distance is you take the loop but well worth the time put in to see the entire mountain, your rock climbing skills will come in handy here. Make sure you wear a rock helmet. No cell service.

Very very difficult and blends with fiddle river trail as well. Easy to get lost. As well as, the wind was so strong it made it difficult to make any progress at times.

Please do research before scrambling. This scramble is rated difficult for a reason. The crux can be bypassed with loss of elevation and then scree bashing up the gulley but for the final summit push from the wooden tripod on the false summit there is no bypass and has some exposure. My favorite scramble so far in the jasper area. Took our group of 4, 11 hours. Again, do your research as the approach up sulfur creek seems to prove difficult for some to find when it branches off to the left. Sulfur creek can run high at certain times of the year as well. Suggested to bring a helmet as well. Amazing views but you have to work for them and there is exposure.

Unbelievably difficult. The day we went the wind was literally blowing you off the mountain. Experienced hikers only. Lots of scrambling and very difficult to find the right trail.

Fun route with some good scrambling spots along the way. Was nice and clear and calm (aside from the smoky haze from the BC wildfires) so the views were excellent. Decended the large scree slope rather than down climbing some of the scrambles. met up with the river/Creek on the way back down and met up with the trail at the log bridge. Definitely recommend this route.
