Two Jack Lake is a 2 mile loop trail located near Banff, Alberta, Canada that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking.
Nice little trail, though we followed the path along the lake as opposed to the AllTrails route, which looks like it goes through the campground.
Been to Two Jack Lake several times. The hike around is nice and easy, but doesn't offer much as far as views. It's simply a walk around the wooded lakeshore. Sometimes there are elk around the campground. There were two grizzlies hanging around when I was there this summer. Overall I find it a crowded underwhelming area that only offers a view of Mount Rundle and evergreens.
Hike started out great around the perimeter of the lake but hike continues into Two Jack Lake campground. The AllTrails hike map directed us to go through the campground but we chose to stay on the lakeside trail and would recommend this. The end of the trail was very anticlimactic, there wasn’t really a definitive end point. I think that there might have been an error in the AllTrails map as we took the suggested route on the way back and it ended up just taking us along the campground road which resulted in us finding out own way back. Overall, a short, easy hike that could have been more well guided.
Nice leisurely hike with gorgeous lake views. We got a little mixed up going through the camp area and left the trail slightly. We turned around so I don't think we fully completed the hike but wouldn't have been far off.
Two Jack Lake is stunning. This easy trail offers views of the lake and many of the surrounding peaks. The trail is pretty easy but there was some blow down across several points in the trail. We deviated from the trail on the map a bit and stayed on a trail that hugged the lake shore. Overall, a nice easy way to take in the scenery that Two Jack Lake has to offer.
Belle randonnée facile avec peu d'élévation. Parfait pour de jeunes enfants!
Due to a recently snowfall, the trail was covered which meant it was great for snowshoeing. Was on the same trail a month ago and it was very packed down and easy for beginners. Today you were able to break trail. Lake is completely frozen as it usually is in the Rockies in January. Great views and very few people! Easy trail close to town.
In the beginning of January, not enough people hiking along the trails to pack down the trail for snowshoe or hiking. You might have to go onto the water a little bit but the ice is thick enough to support you as long as you stay near the shoreline. Open water was seen you the shoreline but you should be OK if you don’t wander out there. Tried to stay near the edge of the lake on snowshoes but the lack of trails made a tougher for inexperienced or weaker snowshoers.
