Amazing views and worth the hike, but not recommended for people sensitive to heights.

Climbed up to the summit back in 05.

Nice view of the town along the way.

We were hit by a snow squall as we broke the treeline. Made cairn spotting interesting.

It was nice to be able to take the gondola back down after a hot meal at the top!

I hope to go back.

One of my favourites. Definitely on the harder side because of how steep it is most of the way up. But the views are great! I suggest starting in the morning and having lunch at the restaurant up top. Took me about 3 hours to hike up to the restaurant with a few stops for water. Come prepared with water and snacks, dress in layers, bring sunscreen and bug repellent, and make sure to wear good shoes and socks!

It was definitely on the hard side of moderate in some places. once out of the alpine the views were amazing for the little we could see due to a storm blowing in. I would recommend this trail.

rating this trail moderate is inaccurate. its borderline hard. many people (us included) did not make it to the top. with that said - what we did see was awesome, and I will definitely try it again, just more prepared. kudos to all the ones who completed it.

So worth the effort! The first 2km and last 1km are probably the toughest due to the steep up hill, but the views are spectacular all the way up!!! The view from the top is definitely breathtaking and worth it.
Well marked trail. We went during the week so it was not busy, so it was a good time to take the dog with us. Some of the trail is quite narrow at points.

Hiked May 28, trail conditions were perfect (very little snow and easy to get through). Definitely a very strenuous climb to the tram station but the payoff is worth it. Recommend hiking all the way to the summit after reaching the station.

A lot busier then expected. Hike was definitely worth it. Snow/Mud more then halfway up, but keep pushing and get to the top.

It's such an amazing hike!!! Mid May and there was a lot of snow from the km 4 until the 5.5. More people than expected was hiking the trail. When we hit the deep snow we thought about turning back, but we saw some people pushing hard so we kept going, and it was totally worth it. The snow made it harder, but better of a challenge. Be ready to get wet and enjoy the amazing views :).

First hike in the mountains I ever did and still a soft spot in my heart. Sometimes gets crowded with tourists but a good challenging moderate hike with amazing views from the top.

Good hike we went to Indian ridge which is further then AllTrails map goes, you climb then descend and climb again, when we did it it had patches of hard icy snow which made it more challenging. It was very smoky also when we did it but I could see that the views would be very good from the top.

One of the best sceneries i have seen in the rockies. Worth the hike for sure. The most difficult climb is the scramble before reaching the top. Expect weather changes at the summit as we experienced hail half way then rain at the summit. I suggest bring waterproof jacket just in case.

A great hike up with dogs, and the best part is being able to take the tram down with them. Perfect fall hike!

Great hike. Lots of varying terrain but mostly uphill. The subalpine is quite steep but you can see the top, therefore, the motivation to continue will be there. It's a very rewarding view! Although it was very cold and lightly snowing in August at the top! Took us 3hr to the tram and another 30 minutes to the summit, with multiple breaks.

The last mile (*before* the upper tram station) or so is super steep but as long as you are wearing appropriate footwear you will be fine. It is advisable to leave the trail head early in the morning so you avoid the mid-day heat. The 360 views at the top make it worth the effort!

Nice day hike. Went down on the tram. So.e people couldn't believe we hiked up! lol

This is the easier way to get to the top, the tram cuts most of the tough work out for you, still tough with the elevation your hiking in, but well worth it, the views are spectacular!!
