The Turret Route is a 7.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Kananaskis Improvement, Alberta, Canada that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

The worst bushwhack. Beautiful summit views. But 2hrs+ each way in some of the worst growth and animal trails. A compass, GPS and a map with the trail are key. Aside from that, great views with a nice larch patch between Mount Fox and the Turret.

Never found the trail for this one. We started up Elk Pass which is just an old logging road. Once you cross the first bridge there is supposed to be a sharp right turn over the creek before the next bridge on the elk pass trail. Combed the shoreline pretty extensively and never saw anything that looked like a trail, wondering if it got washed out? Definitely disappointing, not sure if this hike exists!

It’s a challenge hiking trail for winter. But the view is very beautiful along trail. I love it.
