Note: The way up to Lake Agnes is the easy to moderate part of the trail; however, when trying to scale to the top from Lake Agnes is where things get quite tricky. About halfway up it gets steep and some willpower is required.

Very well marked, I’m not a natural hiker and found it a little difficult, had to stop once on the way up to Agnes and then a couple of times on the switchbacks up to the Big Beehive, but was doable and totally worth it!!

Great trail, perfect for family and friends to enjoy a hike together. Clear path, lots of signs, very busy on the weekend.

Super beau hike, cependant je conseille d'y aller tôt pour éviter les grandes foules.

Excellent trail. Steady pace most of the way with the final climb after the tea house. We looped around and went left instead of right on the way back down to complete a loop and avoid the crowds heading up. It adds around 3 additional kms but totally worth it.

awesome trail, super rewarding with great views of louise lake. Go to the teahouse and get the peanut butter bar. Easy trail with a bit of incline but easily manageable for even beginners. Parking lot was pretty full by 930.

Nature tripsBugsGreat!

Beautiful trail - 360 degree views from the top of the big beehive - mountains, forests and lakes all feature heavily. some steep sections with flatter bits to get your breath back in between. Would reccomend getting there early for parking and go on a weekday if you can (weekends are packed with tourists!)

We're beginner hikers. We might have to cut off our legs after, but this hike would still be worth it :)

Some narrow parts coming up from lake Agnes. Overall this hike is amazing. We stoped for some tea at the tea house then continues on to the big beehive.

Running

Great relatively moderate hike. Really good if you are new to hiking but maybe want something a bit more challenging. The views at the big beehive are very nice especially for the difficulty. Lake agnes is very beautiful so I still think the trail is very much worth it and is still quite the accomplishment! Doable in runners but not ideal. The way down may not be very fun if you just bring runners.

HikingGreat!Rocky

Left Calgary at 4:00am in order to get a close parking spot. Started at lake Louise, we took the little Beehive first then circled back to do the big beehive. With stops there and back it took about 6 hours. Very nice if you go at dawn! Gets extremely busy by 8:00am on a weekend.

Nice little hike. Really easy, worth going on the top to see Lake Louise from above. Very crowded, people feed chipmunks and let some garbage ( not cool ). Amazing view.

WalkingGreat!

Very crowded as it starts right in Lake Louise. Once you're past the teahouse and the lake, it calms down a little. The hardest hurdle are the switchbacks. Completely do-able for someone even moderately fit. Great views of Lake Louise!
