Note: The way up to Lake Agnes is the easy to moderate part of the trail; however, when trying to scale to the top from Lake Agnes is where things get quite tricky. About halfway up it gets steep and some willpower is required.

HikingGreat!

Did this on July 10 and changed course few times as seen in the recording. Might not be super accurate as it may have stopped recording in the middle. About 10 kms total. Day was perfect except for few mosquitoes! It's busy for the most part but fewer people past Agnes Lake. Doing the Big Beehive is definitely worth the view!

Beautiful once you get to the top! Same way going up to the tea house. There’s still some areas of snow you have to go through but definitely worth the hike.

Great trail. One of my favourites. Mud and snow near the tea house was not to bad and manageable although the snow became softer later in the day. Lots at parking at 9:00am today.

July 4th, 2020: It was on and off raining the whole day long. It made the hike bit harder as it became so muddy. Hike to Lake Agnes via Mirror lake is very easy. The hike from Lake Agnes Tea House to Big beehive can be bit hard as there are still fee patches of snow left on switchbacks, but the view at the top is what makes the whole hike worth it. When coming back, if you want to avoid the steep switchbacks, take the Lake Louise side trail, it is less challenging but few kms longer. Hiking pole highly suggested.

Well tracked trail with great views - It did get busy by lunchtime so would suggest going early to beat the rush and not fight for a carpark!

This was a super fun hike! There’s a few patches of snow but super packed down so you can just walk over it. Trail was a bit muddy on the backside of the Devil’s Thumb but nothing too bad. We did this without poles and it took us 2.5 hours to get to the top. Definitely would recommend on a clear sunny day - we had a bit of snow and rain so when we got to the top we couldn’t see anything through the clouds, but still great!

A little bit busy as it was Canada day to the tea house. Awesome views and enjoyed a green tea at the tea house. We walked around lake Agnes up to big beehive. I would highly recommend doing that as it adds to the trip. A little bit of snow sections to big beehive after the tea house and a little bit tougher but still really enjoyable. One of my favourites.

Trail was good to hike. Got busy when we were finishing at around 2pm and the parking lots were full at that point very nice hike. There was alot of snow left on the way around agnes lake which was a bit sketchy in spots. Altogether a really nice hike.

There's still a decent amount of snow, but don't let that scare you. It was actually pretty fun to scramble up in knee deep snow. We came down the lake Louise side and there was very little snow. Lots of ice on Lake Agnes, and a long line for treats at the tea house.

I’ve done this trail many times as it’s so beautiful and has so many “choose your own adventures”! The big beehive trail was still pretty snow filled, but you can still go up little beehive for a good view!! The tea house is also open and would highly recommend stopping for lunch!
