Nice trail - used the map and GPS that somehow GPS worked without any cell service or offline download until we started seeing the flags. Like the other reviews, with the weather and high water this was more of a moderate hike. Had a lot of fun and even managed to get our non-hiking mother to go to the end and back (but it took a lot of convincing at the river crossing).

It was difficult to figure out where you actually go to start the trail. You actually walk in the ditch along the highway to get to the creek. I definitely would not consider this an easy trail. Perhaps it was before the flood in 2010. Some areas are quite difficult - definitely not a family friendly trail like we were expecting. But the river is beautiful and we did enjoy our time out there. The elevated section is quite narrow and definitely needs proper footwear (which we had).

From beginning up til the area where you cross the creek is relatively easy. But after the lake crossing there is a steep uphill scramble to the falls and it can get quite slippery. Following the coloured ribbons on the trees is the easiest path to the falls. This definitely is not the easiest hike. Hiking shoes and trekking poles would be very helpful for the steep uphill area.

The start of the trail is parallel to the highway at the pullout just past the creek- don't go to the other trailheads like we did, double hike day oops! I don't think this should be rated as easy as there are spots where, if you don't have good hikers, you slip and slide a lot on the hillside and there is a creek Crossing over a fallen log which not everyone would be happy with. it's not bad once you get up!! it was a fun hike following the trail markers/tape in the trees and the falls are beautiful. don't go up over the falls, go down to the left and water edge for a safer but nice view!

Great hike. Takes some creative path finding and river crossing.

Didn’t find the trail or the water fall no phone service and my map wasn’t helping even after spending $30 on the AllTrails pro

Amazing hike! Follow the ribbons and you will have no problems with finding the beautiful waterfall at the end. We enjoyed a nice afternoon swim once we got there. Took our large breed dog with us & he did great but would be challenging for some dogs. Would recommend and will likely do this again.

An easy to moderate hike. We enjoyed hiking through the woods and along the river. Google Maps takes you to a parking lot to start but walk out to the highway and follow the trail along side the river. The ribbons were super helpful on this hike. The last part of the trail was a little tricky hiking on the side of a hill with not a lot to grab on to but we took our time and enjoyed the view at the falls.

Trail is mostly wooded and you kind of follow the river along up to the falls. If you follow the yellow/pink ribbons you should find it okay. Our biggest issue was finding where to start. We ended up walking alongside the bridge (towards nordegg) then going down beside it to the river. Like others said, the last part of the trail is a bit sketchy, climbing the side of the hill/cliff. Other than the last part it’s mostly flat terrain. We brought our 3 month old puppy and only had to carry her over the log to cross the river, the rest she did fine on

Great afternoon hike. Follow the pink markers for access to the falls. Was disappointed in the couple feet falls after hiking a sketchy dirt ridge that had my heart beating fast! Big fall if you step one wrong way. Use the roots to help you, not kid or dog friendly once closer to falls. I walked up farther where your above the falls.. I don’t recommend. When above the falls is definitely harder and less to hold on to for support. I rate this as moderate most definitely, but I’m a newbe! Be safe

Enjoyable and kind of wild for a short hike. Don't make the mistake of taking the ATV path and hiking uphill for an hour before realizing the trails starts at the bottom of the parking lot like we did. Trail isn't really well marked, just follow the pink ribbons, when you get to the end, cross the log to get across the creek and continue to follow the ribbons for about 10 minutes to the waterfall. The last part of the trail to the fall is pretty sketchy so stay away if there's any chance of rain.

First half of the trail was easy the second half would be moderate for difficulty. crossed the river using some fallen logs. Creek was fairly high and murky. Mid late summer it would be great should be able to cross the creek with no difficulties.

Was an okay hike, small fall at the end. The trail keeps going past previous AllTrails recordings. Didn’t have time to explore further.

My husband and I did the trail to the waterfall. We also took our 3 dogs with us. We enjoyed the hike. But I have to say it's absolutely not kids friendly and not a easy walk across the river. But it is a must to go if you enjoy walking through the creek.

I would not consider this trail easy as the app says. Small children are prob not best for this trail. It has been washed out but it is a great adventure. Stay left of the creek! We crossed the creek a few times. There are pink ribbons in the trees we followed. At the end by the falls there is a fairly steep slippery goat trail to cross but i quite enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery! Enjoy. Also do not go up by the experimantel fenced in area. That is the wrong way! The reail is right along the creek!!
