Treat yourself to one of the most peaceful walks in the entire river valley. One of the best walks in the river valley lies at the end of Rowland Road. You enter the trail by descending a series of stairs which brings you to the Capilano Bridge and the enterance to Capilano Park. Taking a left, you enter a quiet walk along mature trees that is one of the most peaceful and enjoyable walks in all of Edmonton. This a great, relaxing walk, surrounded by nature. It is a popular walk for the residents of the area and the occasional animal sighting is not out of the question. There are also numerous bike paths through the trees, so share the trail. The paved path that climbs back up to Rowland Road has a healthy elevation change so be prepared. You finish this walk with a nice tour of the homes along Rowland Road. Many of these homes are being renovated, and once you walk this trail, you will understand why. Overall, a great path for couples to enjoy.
