I really enjoyed that trail: beautiful views, no difficulties, and wildlife. We encountered a black bear on the trail near the falls despite the fact that we were noisy (due to the sound of waterfalls); make sure to carry your bearspray and to make lots of noise ;)

The views were awesome but the trail was a bit muddy. At the end there is a great waterfall that you should definitely visit!

Beautiful views! Really nice gradual slopes and the falls are lovely at the end. We hiked ~2 hours up and 2 down at a brisk pace.

Great hike. Spectacular views. Went with a group of 11. Age range from 6yr to late 50. We all made it to the falls and back in 7hrs. Few short breaks for the kiddos and lunch at the falls! It was a push for myself as I am no an avid hiker. Would recommend working up to a long hike. But was well worth the hike to see the falls. Did not attempt the the climb to the lake.

Absolutely amazing hike today. Went above the falls till the chains. Spectacular views up there! Well worth the extra elevation. The trail was mostly dry and the few muddy puddles could easily be avoided. 10/10!!

Camped at the Ribbon Falls Campground. The trails conditions were excellent except for a few muddy spots. We hiked up to Ribbon lake after we reached the campground. Great views of the valley but the chain you have to use to get up to the lake is difficult and a slippery if it has been raining.

Great hike today out to Ribbon Falls and back. Great time of year to go because the water flow is high over the falls. Saw some bear scat but no bears

Beautiful trail! Went on a rainy day so it was quiet. Trail to the falls is well marked and decently flat, not too much elevation gain. You follow the river almost all the way and there are some gorgeous little waterfalls all along the creek. Ribbon Falls at the end is beautiful!

Super easy (if somewhat dull) trail up to the first falls (just past the campground). Steady elevation gain on a wide, well maintained trail. Go past the first falls through the woods (about 200m elevation more) to the chains for a great view but I would not attempt to do the chain section to get to the lake without climbing experience and/or a harness. Super thin ledge with lots of exposure.

This was my first backpacking trip, and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to get into it. It took us just around 3 hours one way, with about a 45lb backpack. My recommendation is not to bring up all the water you can fit in your backpack, just take from the stream!

This is a very pleasant trail when you want a nice walk along a beautiful creek. The mere 300 metres elevation gain is spread evenly over the 10km and the trail is in great shape.

Great Trail! Did see about 4 piles of bear scat spread through out the whole out and back process. Always have bear spray and be bear aware. Beautiful views and am waxing trails. Well maintained.

Beautiful hike, we did bagpacking and stayed there overnight it was worth every struggle to carry the heavy bag pack and stay in nature overnight. The waterfalls are beautiful! Couldn't go to the lake but other campers suggested to do so as it was more worth it. We were too tired just from carrying all the wood as online it said you can't cut the wood in the surrounding. Please do not bring your own wood and climb up with it! There is plenty of wood already there to use. The hike is 1 way 10.8km keep your bags as light as possible if you will be staying just 1 night!!

Easy, well-marked trail up to the falls with some nice river views along the way. Would not attempt chains in the rain or without a spotter // climbing experience. Sheer rock face. Campsite is great with lots of firewood, picnic tables, common firepits, bear lockers, and an outhouse. 10/10 recommend a stay at Ribbon Falls for an introduction to backpacking.

absolutely stunning views all the way through, you have to go further than you think to get to the falls - there is a chain section right before the falls, which we didn't know and missed as we turned around at the 9.5 km mark. trail was mildly muddy in parts but otherwise perfect.

Steady elevation. Quite easy just a very long hike. There was a brown bear by the bridge, right beside the parking lot. Amazing waterfalls

Great trail! Could have better trail markers (mile marker) after the middle falls there’s nothing for a long time and lots of people turned around as they thought it was the big falls. The big falls it is 11km from the parking lot. (22km round trip) Was a steady incline with beautiful scenery will definitely do this hike again.

The trail is really well maintained, had a great wander up to the falls. We encountered a brown bear on the trail on the way back - he went right past us but just a word of caution to remember your bear spray!

We did make it to the lake today. There are some sketchier sections past the falls where there is a bit of snow you have to traverse. The chains heading up the rock face are in good condition and the wall was dry and manageable. Lake itself beginning to thaw, most still snow covered but running from clearing near mouth of outflow.

Trail is in excellent shape and completely free of snow up until ribbon falls. We attempted to get up to the lake but encountered the remnants of an avalanche with snow too high to pass. Might be ready in a couple weeks.

Almost missed the right path by crossing the bridge out of the parking lot, so don’t make that mistake! It also showed that dogs on leashes were allowed. It took us about 5.5 hours with a lunch break at the falls which were worth the distance. No snow except for at the bottom of the falls.
