I didn’t find the mountain bikes to be all that many. No problem for me to share the trail. Took strange brew/boundary ridge back which makes a nice loop. Ended up being 11km. Not strenuous, some switchbacks. Strange brew more of a rocky trail. Dog enjoyed it as well.

Would have rated higher but for the mountain bikes

Awesome hike, pups had a great time being able to run and explore off leash.
We went at 1PM on Monday during the long weekend and it was actually nice and only a few bikers passed by. Definitely will go again! We took Ranger Summit up and Strange Brew down.
Strange Brew was a little soggy / muddy through the grassy areas

We hiked up boundary ridge and strange brew, came back on ranger summit.

The ranger summit portion was decent.
Pretty busy on May long.
No snow, very sunny.
A fellow hiker said there was snow and ice a week prior but it had all melted by now.

Hiked up to the summit from the West Bragg parking area before returning via Strange Brew. Mid-march trail was still mostly ice-covered, micro-spikes were a huge benefit for us.

Trail is mostly a walk in the woods, but is consistently uphill (we recorded over 300m of elevation gain). Views are limited as you are in trees nearly the whole way which has the side-benefit of protection from the winds in the area.

Overall a pleasant and quick escape from Calgary.
