Fun safe early morning walk for those visiting from out of town. I went alone as a female before sunrise and felt safe. I saw a lot of rabbits and some birds we don’t have in Georgia.

Little icy in spots, ok trail, pretty but not remarkable. Great for a trek thru town without having to walk the main road.

Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful at sunset! Only did the first 2 kms starting in town. Very easy walk.

very easy, but beautiful trail. there are some repairs on the bridge on the start/end spot. the bridge is closed, so no way to get there from the bow valley trail side.

Easy hike, without the need of crampons. Due that it is short, my friends and I have extended the trail until bow river close to the golf area and adding in our way back a visit around the coal bridge and the view of an hydro plant.

It was extremely easy. We did this with our dog and in the middle of winter and she seemed to enjoy it. It was like taking a walk at the park.

Scenic stroll... great little walk after exploring downtown Canmore. Very easy.

Easy stroll with little to no elevation. Make sure you go right to the end of the trail so you can see the river. We were there at the end of August and the river bend was dried up so we walked along it until we got to the main stream and soaked our feet in the freezing cold water.

Great views, and nice walk for those visiting in the town of Canmore. Great for Elderly couples. But the sound of nature mixed with the sound of nearby construction let's you know you're in a town. Buildings being built right next to it?? Just takes away from it. I wouldn't go out of my way JUST to check this out.

To much construction. Cool boardwalk but not for me.

Very pretty. Great views of the surrounding mountains while still being right in town.

Just did this one on Sunday Oct 9th with my 10year old. Super easy trail. Lots of places where the path connects with others to continue on longer or more difficult hikes. We took the long loop along the water at the west end of the trail. We had lots of opportunities for pictures.

A great walk to take children on. We did the loop counter clockwise beginning from the trail head indicated on this map. The only issue was finding parking but patience paid off and we were able to obtain a spot in a free parking just off of 8th avenue.

Taking our time, we were able to complete the loop in about four hours (bring water). The scenery was nice and there was lots for our three and six year old to explore. There is a playground with a picnic table located just off the trail at the beginning of the west side of the loop. There are also plenty of benches along the trail.

There is some bike traffic on the trail but no speedsters. Every rider we encountered was very courteous. We plan on returning ourselves someday with our own bikes.

All in all, it was a great way to spend the day together.

Beautiful spot!! Boardwalk continues through a marsh downtown Canmore. Really enjoyed walking this trail, The scenery is stunning surrounded by mountains and parklands. Saw many birds and elk . Not great for small dogs, as their feet kept falling through the boardwalk. This walk is accessible year around.
