This area is nice, trails maintained year round and maps are available for the whole sandy mcnabb and blue rock area at the office.

This trail appears to be mainly frequented by cows and horses. There was a lot of mud, some wet and squishy, some a little drier. I would advise that hikers stay off the “Macabee” section... it was the worst. It was so muddy and really slowed us down. The top opens up to a nice clearing with some benches and a picnic table.

No snow for January 16/19 .. therefore we hiked the Loop ! Foggy with horror frost in the trees which was beautiful! No views with fog today but still excellent trail to be outdoors! Easy and quick hike if you are limited for time or a newbie!

A fun hike

This hike was extremely muddy in most parts. It had quite a few people horseback riding, we were the only hikers. The scenery wasn't anything special. Once at the top it was cool to see, you could see Calgary off in the distance. It took us 2.5 hours to complete.
