Beautiful sunny day, moderate temperature slightly above freezing. Trail was exactly as described, an easy trail for novice snowshoers. Really good snow cover on the trail, so it was fun to be using snowshoes and we didn't have the feeling that they were redundant. In fact, when you took of the snowshoes you started post-holing and quickly realized the depth of the snow.

Lots of fresh snow and good trail. Most of it is in amongst the tall trees, so good shelter for us as a strong cold wind was blowing off the lake.

This was our first attempt at snowshoeing. There were a couple of spots where we had to navigate around some fallen trees, but otherwise it was beautiful! Not a lot of snow - probably could have managed without the snowshoes, but it was excellent for getting used to them. We love this area in the summer - just as beautiful on a cold and wintery day.

Currently the trail halfway through after you cross the highway is closed due to bear activity. Had to turn around and go back!

Easy packed trail. Lots of fun with a dog. Some good views, and shelter from the wind in the trees.

Did this trail for the first time today. We were happy to have snowshoes and everyone we saw on the trail had snowshoes as well. Lots of fresh powder off of the packed trail. With the recent snow it would have been a struggle without snowshoes. Took under 2 hours. We stayed to the left of the loop starting out so there was a little hill to get up at the very end. Everyone else seemed to stay to the right go down the hill to start but either way works. Well marked. Great views of the mountains at the beginning and end.

Beautiful walk with some fresh snow. Didn’t need snow shoes but would have made for an easier walk.

Went today with my girl friend, her 8 y/o son and our 2 dogs we all made it quite easily would recommend for beginners. Signage was good and direct would be difficult to get lost

Great trail, recommend the entire loop for snowshoeing. We did this a few months ago and loved the variety of scenery, there was one part of the loop where we had to cross a main road which was strange but other then that it was great!

Fun snowshoe route in the winter. Well marked and provides pleasant views of the Lower Kananaskis Lake and the Opal range.
