Great hike, would most definitely recommend for people who’ve done hikes before, mostly because of the constant steep ascent to the summit of the mountain. Even though the way up was difficult the views from the top were well worth the hike.

Awesome trail. Very easy to follow until the scramble-y parts at the top. Beautiful views from the summit!

The elevation gain is no joke. Just be prepared to go straight up with no break! Completed July 18 - great weather. Just make sure you have lots of water and snacks, and would recommend poles for the descent. With that said, beautiful views!

Trail is a very steady grind. 7 hours round for us at a moderate to fast pace. trail can be done without much scrambling experience. Still, know that once your above the trees it's not a hiking path. It will be windy, it can get cold, and a wrong step at the top will send you off a cliff. Absolutely would recommended this trail.

Mindblowing view at the top but definitely a challenge, dress accordingly as the weather changes at the peak. At the second inuksuk is a chance to sign your name in the book. Bring a lot of . Best part of the hike was seeing the truck at the end

Magnificent views in every single direction once you're at the top. Takes a good while to get above the treeline (feels like forever), but once you do it's just glorious.

Steep incline all the way up, but spectacular views at the summit, well worth it

Went with 3 others. We all thought we were fit enough for a tough hike. Holy Christmas my back. It’s a steep incline, not meant for beginners. Wish I brought two more waters and less beer. Criiiipes

That hike is no joke! The constant elevation made for a challenging assent and descent. The view from the top is worth it though, amazing. Trail is a bit overgrown in places but easy to follow. The loose rock at the top made it a bit sketchy and we stopped just short of the summit. About 4:45 total time with about 30 minutes of chill time at the top.

Really fun trail. No sign of bears and pretty challenging with a relatively straight assault to the summit. It started raining on us and the mud made it a bit of a slower ascent and descent but we were still able to complete safely. Still some ice and snow in the upper tree line which made the final push a bit more challenging. Would recommend but bring some poles!

Great trail, no signs of any bears, small area of snow at the top to get to the summit but not anything to worry about.

The trail is overgrown and unmarked! (Park at maligne canyon & walk up highway until you see the maligne boat schedule sign on right & on left tiny trailhead!) When people say it’s steep or literally uphill the whole way they aren’t lying! Definitely recommend hiking poles! Rewarding at the top!!

Great hike. Not a lot of people while we were there. Short but a leg burner as it’s basically straight up. Views once you get past tree line are fantastic. Still some icy spots in the trees.

GRIZZLY BEAR! Did not get to the top because we came across a grizzly bear while approaching the tree line. We had bear spray and just turned around and went down. Overgrown trail and very challenging incline with no switchbacks. However it was a beautiful hike and I will try and attempt it again

We just did this hike (June 19). No switchbacks, so it was pretty much straight up the mountain. Followed a creek almost the whole way and after the trees cleared and our lungs caught up there was a scramble to the top. We attempted but we also brought 2 dogs and they were having a very tough time. Almost made the summit! Very challenging but overall pretty quick and would try again with poles instead of dogs.
