Hiking

Windy around edges of park. Snow not very packed in some areas - recommend good shoes/boots. Back area of park can be difficult to follow exact trail accurately - recommend checking map occasionally. Also 2 or 3 areas with very steep and slick transitions in snow. Fun mini game to try to name all the dog breeds you will see if you have company. :)

Nosehill is so much prettier than I expected. It’s way more than I imagined. The paths are clearly marked and it’s easy to adjust your route depending on how far you want to walk.

Fun walk that can be as long or short as you want depending on which paths you choose. Really cool views of the city and airport from the top. Definitely good to bring bug spray, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water. Not much shade out there.

Running

Nosehill is a local gem! I started prior to dawn on the paved trails initially but eventually hitting the unpaved trails. Ran into some close encounters with the whitetails that live in the park, which are pretty curious.
