Mount Coulthard is a moderate to difficult hike depending on your skill level, it is essentially an out and back trail with several summits to traverse for a variety of views. The hike up to the plane crash site is an easy hike however beyond there it starts to get a little more difficult. The final push to the summit is around 600m of elevation over just 2km making it quite the grind and not for those who are out of shape. At the top there is minimal exposure.
