We did this loop the other day (22nd June) - actually in both directions - and it was very easy. Not quite sure where the elevation measurements are from on here, I measured 50m, and it didn’t even feel like that. Unfortunately no moose on either trip around, but it is a pretty lake and the trails were in great shape and it was one of the only places that we didn’t see tonnes of mosquitoes.

Super easy and short hike, with great views of moose lake.

Nice easy little trail, completed yesterday afternoon and there was still a few snow piles throughout the trail but was mostly dry. Would still wear boots though. Unfortunately we didn't spot any moose at Moose lake but it was still a cute, cozy and peaceful little lake tucked in the forest.

A very easy and quick trail. Was completely covered in snow when we went (1 Nov 2019), which made for a peaceful walk through the mostly wooded trail. Not particularly inspiring, though, and only did this trail because Bald Hills is closed for the season (1 Nov 2019 - 28 Feb 2020).

Simply an easy trail, mainly through forest, which was covered in snow when we went today, which was quite pleasant. Very empty, no noisy tourists! Views were alright only though. Lake is completely frozen over and white.

I am obsessed with this trail. It’s quite short (only about half an hour), but now that Moose Lake is frozen and covered with snow, it is dreamlike. I’ve never been surrounded by such pure silence. The trail is doable without cleats, but it’s entirely frozen by now, so be careful. Moose Lake is my new favorite short hike!

This trail was easy and short! Absolutely gorgeous lake!! We saw a moose swimming. Loved it. We felt that it would have been shorter if we had gone back the same way we came in... the loop felt a little longer... and there was not much to see after the lake anyway.

Stunning walk in the snow (is what made it good really). Saw a red squirrel and some birds. No moose!

if you drove down to Maligne Lake anyway, you may as well do this trail. the woods are pretty, the lake is nice, lots of people though. I'd think this is more easy than moderate.

Bastante gente, recomendable por la tarde. Bastante corto. Es bonito para dar un paseo sin mas.

Flat boring trail through the woods. Lake is nice but nothing special. Go early in the morning to see moose otherwise it'll be a total zoo.

Nice hike without the crowds of people if you go early enough. As of late June, the portion of the trail that runs along Maligne Lake is closed for maintenance. Be sure to do the loop around Moose Lake. This portion is the trail is a little more austere, but fun to navigate. No wildlife spotted, but lots of tracks and moose dropings.

Nice easy hike through the forest to moose lake. Lake is very peaceful and pretty and I recommend spending some time sitting at the lake. Didn’t see any moose, but a variety of birds.

Do not make the mistake of doing the Upper Moose Lake loop. Entire trail up to the shore edge is through the trees with no views. Incredibly boring. The view once at the shore is nothing to write home about either.
