A nice walking trail - the mosquitoes were pretty bad so I'd definitely bring bug spray. There was a grizzly in the area at the time we were just coming back and they were closing off the trail.
I like that it's a longer paved trail - my son who is in a wheelchair loved being included in one of our hikes and it was easy to push him - not much of an elevation gain.

Easy hike with 7 year old from Elkwood campground around various fens and Marl Lake. Lots of mosquitoes, wildflowers and a pair of loons.

Easy trail with beautiful view, perfect for leisure and family with kids or seniors :) the trail entry was little tricky, its besides the show area with the hiking & wheelchair sign, not the bicycle sign one.

Snowshoed this Feb 2014. Good trail snow, great views of lake, mountains and snow-laden trees. Not too busy and those there were friendly and out for a relaxing time. Easy and not much vertical. No mosquitoes!

We were staying at Elkwood campground in August 2014 and decided to do this short walk on a lazy sunny day. Well, we did not walk this trail, we ran it! Mosquitoes were absolutely unbearable even though we used repellents. It is an interpretive trail with info posts and benches all along it and the lake view is very nice, but we did not get to enjoy any of it as we were surrounded by thousands of hungry mosquitoes. So don't forget your repellent if you are brave and may be go in mosquito-free season.
