This would be a nice walk in either summer or winter. Trail was almost all snow free last week - probably a little bit different now but all it takes is a chinook to blow through and tah dah! A fairly snow free trail again.

Road to access hike from HWY 1 was blocked off by the Stoney Nakoda Nation. We turned off at the sign and were trying to figure out if it could be accessed another way but couldn’t find an alternative route. While we were parked and looking, a woman from the Nation pulled up beside us and told us the road was private. Luckily, we had alternatives planned but just a heads up!

Easy trail with nice views. With a 2 and 5 year old and plenty of stops to admire wildflowers it took us less than 40 mins. If I were to do it again I’d add a second nearby hike or viewpoint.

Super easy trail with high impact. Lovely views and gorgeous wildflowers which are in full bloom this time of year. We saw a family pushing a stroller through the trail which is mostly wide and great for social distancing. Great place to bring the family for a picnic.

Beautiful trail! More of a walk than hike but great for small children or those with bad knees. Incredible amount of a variety of wildflowers (wild roses, tiger lilies, lady slippers, shooting stars, and several others). Some nice views of surrounding peaks and a great viewpoint on the doc. Would definitely do this hike again.

This 1.6km trail is super easy and family friendly. it's pretty flat so my 2.5yr and 1month old kids had fun. The trail was full of lavendar, lady slippers and lots of flower producing nice fragrances around. Trail is very well maintained, no garbage, have not seen mosquitoes and insects. Spring water keeps flowing so it's clean. I would highly recommend stepping out there specifically you are in old age or wants to have some time out with too little kids. We took little drive to next spot "Whitefish area" that gives you nice view of Mount Yamnuska and Bow River. Weather cooperated well.
