Great trail. Give yourself some time if going with kids. Went fairly early and no mosquitos! Very nice

Friendly and fast hike despite the world - some corners to rest near the lake and enjoy the view.

Lovely and flat, manageable walk for every fitness level- so be prepared for crowds!

Ok, yeah, Lake Louise is beautiful... But holy crowds! Hiking it is probably a completely different experience, but this general spot right outside the chateau is just ridiculous. Way too many people.

Lovely walk around the lake. We got there at about 6:35 pm and it was still crowded but the walk was not too busy and the views were gorgeous

Left Banff at 5:20 am, drove fast, got to Lake Louise parking lot at 5:50, half of closest lot was full already. Had coffee by eastern shore of lake, beautiful sunrise. Will post time lapse to my YouTube channel soon. Maybe 100 people already there by 6:00 am, only got busier from there. People everywhere. Still totally worth it, trail was pretty empty before 8:00, had stretches where we were alone on the trail. Beautiful, must do. Go early! Beat the crowds.

Nice paved trail around the Lake that gives you a bit of an escape from the busloads of tourists. Geocache on the way. we went at 7 am and it was a nice warmup to the Plain of Six Glaciers.

Great trail, very developed. The only problem is that there really are a lot of people on this trail. I just can’t downgrade it simply because people like it and congregate there.

Gorgeous lake. Wayyyyyyyy too many tourists was the only downside. Get there EARLY, you'll very likely have no parking.

This is a path walk at the edge of Lake Louise and it is breathtaking. Go for the photos, not the workout.

Great hike my 2 year old hiked all the way to the frozen water fall and back

Paved the first part of the way. The farther back you go, the less people. Worth the walk to the other side to get photos without a ton of tourists. Also cool to watch the climbers.

Trail is nice and wide to walk with your well behaved pup on a short leash. Dogs not allowed on shuttle so drive up to lake lot and attendant will help you find a parking spot.

Easy walk, not really a hike. Muddy with some puddles spanning the whole trail. Could be wheelchair or stroller accessible if you’re not afraid of getting dirty.

Really fun in the late fall when the trail is iced over and everyone has this camaraderie because we all share the same epic challenge: see the infamous Canadian Rockies from the most iconic sight without cracking a skull or bruising a bum.

So easy, anyone can do it!

Chis is an easy trail along the water in Lake Louise. if you are looking for something harder keep walking when you get to the other end of the lake, the trail wanders up in to the mountains. even in mid June there was snow on the trails up past the lake.

If you want to get away from the crowds at the lake Louise front shoreline, take this for a little jaunt. Different perspectives of the lake, especially at the back shoreline. A loop is possible.
